The event And Menu

Joanne and party shared a lovely evening and Thai banquet to say goodbye to 2010 with the meal consisting of some popular  choices from the Thai Gourmet menu. A pre starter of spicy Thai prawn crackers were handed around at the start whilst parents focused on getting children off to bed and to sleep in order to begin the meal.

Green Chicken Curry (Gang Khiaw Wan Gai)

The starters for the evening consisted of the favourite ”Som Tam” papaya salad, the” Gai Satay” grilled chicken satay with a delicious peanut dip, the crispy vegetable spring rolls with a sweet chilli dip and finally the ”Kanompang Na moo” pork, garlic, coriander on toasted bread.

With such a long table two serving platters of each main dish were then laid out, which basically meant an array of food and barely any table left to be seen. The main courses for the evening consisted of ” Gang khiaw wan gai” Thai chicken green curry with seasonal vegetables, ”Gang Massaman Nua”  Beef massaman curry and sweet potatoes, ”Phat priaw wan gai” sweet and sour chicken , ”thoot man khao phot” a delicious combination consisting of corn, garlic, coriander and pepper, ”Phat Thai gung” Phat Thai noodles with prawns and finally Thai jasmine rice.

Phat Thai Noodles With Prawns

The meal was completed with a favourite Thai dessert of ”Khao Niaw Gap Mamuang” sticky rice and slices of mango.

With the meal complete it was now time for the party to look forward to seeing in 2011 and just time for Thai Gourmet to wish the party a happy new year.
