4) Out And About

China Town, Bangkok, Thailand

China Town located in the Yaowarat district is a bustling hive of activity and in my opinion the real Bangkok. The area is best explored on foot as it is just one constant traffic jam. For those who have their hearts set on doing some shopping here they should have the shopping section of their phrase books constantly available as there is very little English spoken. The Chinese medicine stores have a products for all sorts of problems, but it’s easier to tell what the products outside the stores are for than the more recipe based products inside. Well worth investigating though.

5) Thailand Travel Tips From Chiang Rai, Northern Thailand

Not only is the province of Chiang Rai very beautiful, but it also has some very interesting things to see and do. Not least is a temple that is a little bit different to the normal temple look in Thailand.

Wat Rong Khun Temple (วัดร่องขุ่น)

A completely white and very beautiful temple. Is said to have been a life time project for the artist Chalermchai
Kositpapat. The temple was designed to be viewed in the moonlight and all the statues and figures are based on
religious beliefs. Normally temples are ancient and built a very long time ago, but this one is very recent with
construction  starting in 1998.

The Royal Villa was built for the late Princes Mother in the combination styles of Lanna and Swiss chalet.
Decorated with beautiful Shan and Lanna antiques
The entire estate is 56,000 square metres of land.
At the top of the mountain sits the much revered temple ” Wat Phrathat Doi Tung” and an amazing panoramic view of
the surrounding area.
Also take a look around the beautiful Mae Fa Luang Botanical Garden with some tremendous flower gardens and hill
tribe villages.
